.nz is the Internet County Code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) for New Zeland. It is administered by InternetNZ, with oversight and dispute resolution handled by the Domain Name Commission Limited (DNCL).
Registration for this domain is open to anyone. The registry accepts registrations of internationalized domain names.
The first formally recognized administrative organization was the University of Waikato until the responsibility was delegated to InternetNZ when it was formed in 1995.
